On 21 June 2021, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) published a special report on the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and its efforts to curb agricultural emissions. The report came only a couple of days before negotiations on the reform of the CAP concluded.
An international group of over 60 scientists today called on the European Commission to shift its funding for food advertisements away from animal products and towards healthier and more sustainable plant-based diets. Organisations launch a global climate emergency campaign
On 29 April 2021, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) published its ruling in the case Natumi GmbH v Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. The case revolved around the question whether Natumi is allowed to use the alga Lithothamnium calcareum, an alga naturally rich in calcium, in its organic plant-based milks.
