During this event, we will present for the first time our 2024 European Elections Manifesto, “The Plant-Based Manifesto, and host an expert roundtable discussion on sustainability and the future of EU food policy.

Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain and Stanford University. Member of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors to the European Commission.

Head of the EU office of Compassion in World Farming, an international organisation dedicated to improving farm animal welfare, ending industrial animal agriculture and achieving sustainable food and farming. Olga is involved in advocacy work at EU level on key interests concerning the interlinked areas of animal welfare, food and farming. She is substitute representative of the Citizens’ Committee for the End The Cage Age European Citizens’ Initiative.

Secretary-General at the Vegetarian Society of Denmark and Regional Representative for Europe & Director of Policy Initiatives at the International Vegetarian Union (IVU). Rune-Christoffer Dragsdahl and his organization took several strategical initiatives in Denmark, which involved many other stakeholders, from farmer’s associations and businesses to other NGO’s. This paved the way for a landmark deal between the Government and Parliament, which in 2021 resulted in 675 million DKK earmarked a fund for initiatives to develop the plant-based sector in Denmark; and a National Action Plan for Plant-Based Foods, which was published in October 2023.

Experienced public affairs professional with +20 years of experience in Regulatory, Medical, Public and European Affairs. With an academic background and Ph.D. in food and agronomy, in 2019 she created the European Plant-based Food Alliance, a multi-stakeholder platform, gathering like-minded companies and organizations around the common goal to advance plant-based foods as a vital part of the transition towards more sustainable and healthy food systems.
