European Vegetarian Union

Dear friends,

Dear friends,

Christmas may seem far away at this time of year, but it is not too early to start preparing our special Christmas action 2007. For Christmas this year, the EVU is planning to present a collection of vegetarian/vegan Christmas cards, and we hope very much for your support.

We would like to create a collection of cards with a vegetarian or vegan theme that can be downloaded and sent to friends and family during the festive season. Your ideas, drawings, pictures and favourite themes are therefore required!

Please send your ideas either electronically (preferably) or by post to our webmaster. He will then convert them into a version that can be downloaded and printed (for private use only).

Important: Please check that the cards are not protected by copyright and that we have permission to publish them. Only cards without copyright protection are free to download and use.

You will be able to find our collection on the internet under:

http://www.euroveg.eu/lang/en/events/christmas_compassion/christmas_compassion07.php

Thank you very much for your support. We look forward to hearing from you!

Some reasons why many vegans do not wish to couple-up with animal-consumers include:

Many vegans believe that it is sadistic to derive enjoyment from the suffering of others, and enjoying animal-food/entertainment/clothing definitely qualifies as a form of sadism if it results from animal suffering. Most people don't want partners who they would define as sadists.
