EUROPEAN VEGETARIAN UNION
NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2007

Dear friends,

For many this is the time to plan the annual holiday and we want to point out a unique possibility: getting to know Moldova whilst at the same time helping others. This special win-win possibility is offered by our member "Neohumanist" Foundation for Education, ann organization which ‘serves the most vulnerable groups of the society (children, the elderly and disabled)…’. The “Sunrise” day care centre provides a public vegetarian kitchen and assistance for lonely and needy people (see links *)

The center now offers holiday houses with breakfast and the possibility of vegetarian lunch and dinner. The income from renting the holiday houses will act as contribution towards the "Sunrise" project.

Maybe you like to give this idea some thought. In case you have any questions, feel free to contact the organization where you’ll receive all necessary information.

Another trip we want to recommend is to attend our EVU Talks in Vienna.
I have the pleasure to tell you that the Indian Ambassador to Austria (a vegetarian) has promised to visit.

(Here is one more reason to talk about the problem of world hunger)

Best regards
Renato Pichler
President
