Devour the Earth

Finally, the successful documentary «Devour the Earth» has been produced on DVD with the support of the EVU. This impressive short film is in English with commentary by Sir Paul McCartney. Thanks to the subtitles however, the film can also be understood in the following languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Hungarian, Slovenian, Croatian, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Chinese. The DVD is suitable for showing during school lessons, as it is only 20 minutes long.

The documentary is divided into sections, each showing the global consequences of meat consumption. The section titles are as follows:
Wasted food, wasted land
Deforestation
Global warming
Soil depletion
Acid rain
Suffering seas
Health and Welfare

The key facts of the film are also listed in the enclosed booklet (in all languages). Thanks to the co-operation with the European Vegetarian Union, the booklet also contains a foreword from the Slovenian President Dr. Janez Drnovsek.

In addition to the main film, the DVD contains a small collection of quotes from well-known personalities on the subject of vegetarian nutrition (only available in English) and a short video (with subtitles) on the slaughtering of cattle.
