The European Vegetarian Label now also in Austria

After in some European countries the V-label has already been successfully adopted for different food items with solely vegetarian ingredients, such goods are now also available in Austria: In March 2002 the chain "Merkur" has introduced a new product-line with this label. The new range contains meat alternatives (sausages, burgers, cold meats), mayonnaise, sauce bolognaise etc - all purely vegan. Judging from a very vivid demand right from the start, the Austrian consumers seem to be very interested indeed in all these products.

Should you also be considering to introduce this label in your country, please contact

In a world older and more complete than ours, animals move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.
