[Image: Dr. Lily Diehl] Dr. Lily Diehl has since 1975 directed the Lily Diehl Music Studio in Loma Linda, California, where she has touched the lives of hundreds of children and adults as a well known clinician, educator and performer. Her outstanding achievements as pianist. vocalist, and lead role in The Sound of Music brought her press recognition in Southern California as ,,Most Versatile Performer of the Year". She is a rare woman: goal-oriented and disciplined. totally professional, yet full of fun-loving enthusiasm--qualities which are important in the shaping of experiences for young people that stimulate excellence. growth, musicianship and greater self-understanding.

She has delighted audiences around the world with her art and charm. Her recent European as well as China performances before over 50.000 people were unforgettably thrilling. She has recorded several albums. Her most recent CD recording. Two Times Mine. was just released this year.

Specializing in group piano teaching, Dr. Diehl utilizes the advantages of modern digital technology putting her at the forefront of music pedagogy. Her students range all the way from age four through sixty-four! Many of her students have garnered excellent ratings in various music festivals and competitions.

Graduating with highest honors at the age of 18 from Santa Isabel College in Manila, Lily won the National Young Artist Competition of the Philippines that same year. This honor brought her invitations to perform as piano soloist with various orchestras and stipends for further study abroad. She has earned two masters degrees: one in music education from Andrews University summa cum laude, and the other in piano performance from the University of Michigan. In addition, she has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California. Her mentors include Hungarian pianist. Gyorgy Sandor (student of Bela Bartok). Serge Tarnowsky (teacher of Vladimir Horowitz), Joanna Graudan (student of Artur Schnabel) and Ruth Schlenzyncska.

Dr. Diehl continues to be a cultural force in her community. She has served as branch president of the Music Teachers Association, as well as state officer; chairman of the Feldheym Central Library Fine Arts Council: founder of a professional girls choir and Founder- Executive Artistic Director of the DMC Young Musicians Christian Summer Music Camps since 1986.

Presently. she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Inland Empire Symphony Orchestra and is sought after as a state of California music examiner and is a faculty member of the American College of Musicians, functioning primarily as an adjudicator for the National Piano Guild Auditions.

Notwithstanding her career, Lily with her husband. Dr Hans Diehl, director of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute, see their foremost roles as Christian parents. With their children, Byron (age 22), a dentistry student, and Carmen (20) a psychology honors student, Family Matters, Inc. chose them ,,Family of the Year" for their dedication to encourage and support individual growth, to nurture love and teamwork, and for extending friendship and service to others.

Dr. Lily Diehl will give a concert at the EVU Congress 99 on Thursday night at the ‘Social evening’ where everybody is welcome.
